Prayerful Support

Please pray with us as we work to achieve our mission of providing opportunities to make funds and services available in support of the Great Commission through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

In 2 Corinthians 1:11, Paul said, “. . . as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.”

Volunteer Support

Many districts use volunteers to assist in educating LCMS members and congregations about the LCEF ministry. Contact your LCEF District Vice President if you are interested in helping build “space and place” for ministry.

Another volunteer option is Laborers For Christ, a ministry that offers a unique opportunity to support the efforts to expand God’s Kingdom.

The dedicated men and women of Laborers For Christ are Christians who work for congregations and other church-related organizations of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod to build, upgrade or renovate churches, schools, parish halls, retirement homes, camp facilities, etc. Christian principles are applied on the construction site and sharing one’s faith is encouraged. Read more about becoming a Laborer with Laborers For Christ.

Investment Support

The Lutheran Church Extension Fund has been blessed with many investors who support the mission and ministry of Church Extension. This support enables us to make low-cost loans to LCMS churches, schools and rostered church workers. Money invested with LCEF earns a fair rate of return, while at the same time, these dollars (combined with investments from other LCEF partners) are loaned to LCMS organizations at competitive rates. Learn more about the investment options offered at LCEF.

Direct Gift

Thank you for considering a gift to the ministry of LCEF! Your gift, which makes it possible for us to keep costs low on loans and services, and helps LCMS organizations maximize their resources for ministry.

Choose the method most convenient for you:

  • Send check to LCEF; you may even specify a ministry area (for example, Haake World Ministry or Laborers For Christ)
  • Contribute all or part of the interest earned on an LCEF investment for a specific time period. This option requires a form, which may be mailed or faxed to LCEF
  • Establish automated deduction from a bank account to be transferred to LCEF
  • Designate an LCEF ministry as beneficiary of investments
  • Support a specific LCEF ministry via the LCMS Giving Catalog
  • Use LCEF's secure and private online giving button

No matter which method you choose, all funds are used to further the ministry of sharing God's love with the lost and supporting our rostered church workers.

Planned Gift

There are several ways to make a deferred or planned gift. In addition to benefiting the LCEF ministry, there can be wonderful benefits for donors too. Many donors receive an income and generous tax savings for gifts through:

  • Gift Annuities
  • Wills
  • Family Gift Funds
  • Endowments Funds
  • Trusts

To help you decide if this is the right giving option for you and your family, let our professional partners at the LCMS Foundation assist in putting a plan in place. Visit the Foundation's Web site and click on the Gift Planning link on the left. The LCMS Foundation is the only Synodical organization that offers comprehensive charitable expertise and services. By using the approach, you can plan and direct your passion for giving to family and to LCEF, ensuring the lord's work is done today, tomorrow, and forever.
