Success Stories

Leaders at Community Lutheran School, Readlyn, Iowa, turned to Project School Zone when they began their marketing efforts.

"It was natural to go to LCEF because they have so many resources," said Janet Huebner, treasurer of the school's Board of Education and the marketing committee lead. The board used LCEF's mailing list services and specifically designed marketing materials such as tri-fold brochures and a 7-by-14-foot banner to gain community awareness of its preschool and elementary school. They also used the "Branding Guide for Lutheran Schools" and webinars as they planned their marketing strategy. Huebner said they liked that the materials are Christian-education related. For fall 2011, Community's enrollment is up by six students from last year.

Huebner said the biggest first step "is to just get started and you will develop a feel for what works for your school…Don't over-architect it, and always keep your school and its direction in your prayers. The Lord will guide!"
