Laborers For Christ combines church-related construction with spiritual renewal. As members build structures together with LCMS organization volunteers, they know that it is God who is truly building the church.
Laborers For Christ
Members of this ministry do not have just the end goal of completing a remodeling project, building a brand-new facility, or updating an organization's physical structure for optimal efficiency. Their goal is to be tools to accomplish God's plan for us. The buildings are merely by products to reaching more people with the Gospel.
Using Laborers For Christ for Your Ministry
Your organization will be lead by well-qualified Laborers For Christ members. They bring experience and expert knowledge in construction, typically cutting the project management costs 10% to 30%. Laborers For Christ can also update existing facilities, helping you acquire tax credits, money and energy savings. Read the EPA's publication specifically for congregations, "Putting Energy into Stewardship," for project ideas, potential savings and tips for going "green."
However, this money-saving benefit is secondary to the uplifting presence Laborers For Christ brings to your organization. Laborers enjoy attending worship services, Bible studies and becoming part of the organization for which they work. Laborers will help your organization multiply the volunteer base, not only for the construction project but for your overall ministry.

Becoming a Member of Laborers For Christ
Are you interested in sharing your time and talents with fellow Christians who enjoy furthering the Lord's work? Please complete an application (college or seminary students, please use the NAILS application).

Once accepted to the roster, the applicant's name is entered into a database and a resume is compiled. When a rostered member indicates a willingness to work for a specific congregation, this resume is forwarded to the congregation, which makes the hiring decisions for their particular project. Mission Fulfillment Now and for Future
Funding a ministry through a loan often involves the inevitable: paying interest. With an LCEF loan, you become a partner with other LCMS borrowers and investors in building the church. As a loan is repaid, those dollars become available to other congregations to build or update their facilities to serve this and future generations.
