Consecrated Stewards

Building on the popular "New Consecration Sunday Stewardship Program" by Herb Miller, Consecrated Stewards reaches the maximum number of people in the most spiritual setting.

Consecrated Stewards

Consecrated Stewards is based on the need of the giver to give, not the need of the church to receive, and is not tied to the church budget. Most congregations that participate report increases to annual commitments of 15% to 35%.*

Consecrated Stewards can be conducted as a standalone program or part of a CFS capital campaign.

Features:

  • Ties the commitment process to the Sunday morning act of worship.
  • Does not have members asking other members one-on-one for a financial commitment.
  • Can be used any time during the year.

Going beyond the New Consecration Sunday Stewardship Program, it provides:

  • Solid Lutheran Bible study materials and sermon outlines
  • Guidance for stewardship witness talks
  • A process to celebrate congregation ministries
  • Publicity and communication aids
  • An optional workshop for leaders
  • An LCEF trained and certified Guest Leader

Guiding Principles of Consecrated Stewards

Dr. Art Scherer, CFS Regional Consultant and former Southeastern District President, presents the guiding principles behind Consecrated Stewards, key elements of the program, materials, costs, and ways LCMS districts can implement this fresh approach to raising up stewards in response to God's love and grace. See our Multimedia Center for his presentations.

* Individual results vary. Increases in amounts committed to annual envelope giving typically range between 15% and 35%. A congregation's results could be more or less. LCEF cannot guarantee results in a Consecrated Stewards program or the fulfillment of the commitments. Success depends upon the cooperation and participation of congregation members.

Big Events Support Churches, Schools

Planning a wedding, buying a new house or retiring in the near future? Targeting a specific date for some of your investments can help fund those plans. Term notes are invested for a specific period of time and remain yours to redeem at the end of the term or to re-invest. While invested, they are not only building your dreams, but helping fund a loan for a school or church.

Tomorrow Comes Too Quickly

Have you ever said, "I’ll take care of that tomorrow?" What if you need emergency cash today, but always delayed until "tomorrow" setting up a "rainy day" fund? An unexpected expense can sabotage your monthly budget. So make room in your budget now for a regular, monthly deposit to a Family Emergency StewardAccount®. The investment builds over time and earns a competitive rate.

LCEF is a nonprofit religious organization; therefore, LCEF investments are not FDIC-insured bank deposit accounts. This is not an offer to sell investments, nor a solicitation to buy. LCEF will offer and sell its securities only in states where authorized. The offer is made solely by LCEF's Offering Circular. Investors should carefully read the Offering Circular, which more fully describes associated risks.
