Architectural Advisory Committee

The Architectural Advisory Committee's professional Lutheran architects and liturgical artists are committed to helping LCMS ministries make the most of their facilities and plan for a future full of reverence, hope and caring.

Architectural Advisory Committee

The Architectural Advisory Committee (AAC) exists to:

  • Encourage excellence in church architecture and ecclesiastical art.
  • Stimulate greater understanding of good church architecture and of sound planning for building projects.
  • Encourage architects and artists to strive for a higher level of excellence in planning church buildings.
  • Stimulate sound economic approaches to the planning of worship and educational facilities.
  • Promote responsible business principles and Christian stewardship throughout building project.

A Site and Facility Analysis may be the way to get your project planning started. This service helps organizations make good decisions about their land and buildings.

An architectural advisor will meet with a congregation on a one-time basis for expenses only. For information about LCEF architectural services, contact your District Vice President or contact the national LCEF office.

A detailed, "Architectural Handbook," is available to assist you with your planning, renovation or building plans.

The committee sponsors an Art and Architecture Award program. Information about the program and links to the entry application can be found here. Entry deadlines have been extended into 2012. Awards will be presented at LCEF's Fall Leadership Conference in November 2012.

Turn to an architectural advisor for recommendations regarding energy efficiency projects.

Resources

Be Prepared for the Unexpected

Don't let financial emergencies sabotage your monthly budget. Start a Family Emergency StewardAccount® to help you cover unexpected expenses, while also providing funds LCMS organizations need for their ministry needs.

Joyfully Lift Up Stewardship Efforts

Your congregation’s stewardship efforts should give clear witness to the Christian faith. Bring more joy to their giving with a concentrated, Lutheran stewardship campaign for a specific goal or stewardship education that can be conducted at any time with adults and children. LCEF's consultants and materials are tailored to your ministry.

LCEF is a nonprofit religious organization; therefore, LCEF investments are not FDIC-insured bank deposit accounts. This is not an offer to sell investments, nor a solicitation to buy. LCEF will offer and sell its securities only in states where authorized. The offer is made solely by LCEF's Offering Circular. Investors should carefully read the Offering Circular, which more fully describes associated risks.
