Cemetery Care

The Cemetery Perpetual Care StewardAccount for LCMS congregations ensures money set aside for the cemetery is earning a competitive rate of return and is easily accessible.

Cemetery Care

Cemeteries provide a place for family members and other loved ones to visit, remember and heal. Knowing a loved-one is memorialized can be of great comfort. To help your organizations ensure it is maintained, we offer the Cemetery Perpetual Care StewardAccount.

Whether it is standard cemetery maintenance or an unexpected and sometimes catastrophic cost caused by flood, earthquake or vandalism, your group must have the funds readily available. This investment works similar to other StewardAccounts, including check-writing privileges and optional Visa® Debit Card transactions.

Features:

  • Minimum $1,000 investment to open account.
  • Variable interest rates are adjusted, compounded and paid monthly.
  • Tiered interest rates that rise as balance grows.
  • Monthly statements.
  • No monthly maintenance or membership fees.
  • Initial quantity of checks provided FREE; replacement orders competitively priced.
  • Minimum amount per check is $250.
  • Unlimited number of checks per month.
  • Special ministry revenue is generated on Visa Debit Card purchases that do not involve entering a personal identification number (PIN).

Ease Debt with Mission Partner

With low interest rates, now is an opportune time to let LCEF help ease your congregation’s debt burden through the refinancing of higher-rate loans with other lenders. An LCEF loan comes with the long-term benefits of a partnership that assists other ministries and supports church workers. Besides working with you to reach more people and extend the possibilities for your ministry, we understand your mission.
