Term Notes

Targeting a specific date for some of your investments can help you better plan for your first house, or big events such as having a baby, celebrating a wedding or even retiring.

Short- and Long-Term Investment Options

Your goals vary, just as the ways we can share our faith vary. For some of your investment portfolio, you may have specific goals that need to be achieved by a certain date. That's why an LCEF Term Note might be the right choice: the funds are invested for a specific period of time and remain yours to redeem at the end of the term or re-invest.

You may select:

  • Fixed-Rate Term Note—this note carries a constant interest rate, and requires a $500 minimum investment. Variety of terms available from 6 months to 20 years.
  • Floating-Rate Term Note—rate is adjusted monthly based on prevailing market rates, and requires a $100 minimum investment. 30-month and 60-month terms available. Investments of $25 or more accepted throughout the term.

The True Value of Your Investment

Your LCEF investment represents more than a monetary "net worth": it represents a desire to reach more people with the Gospel. The value to your heirs will not come in the balance, but in the fact that you want your funds to help expand or renovate churches, and support Lutheran schools and church workers. As you periodically review your beneficiary designations, tell them why LCEF is special to you.

Build a Better School Brand

Times have changed for today’s Lutheran schools. Leaders and parents must do more to attract and retain students and staff. To help schools remain viable, LCEF offers Project School Zone. In addition to coordinated marketing materials, Project School Zone is a resource for developing branding strategies with a downloadable handbook, quarterly e-newsletter and periodic free webinars.

LCEF is a nonprofit religious organization; therefore, LCEF investments are not FDIC-insured bank deposit accounts. This is not an offer to sell investments, nor a solicitation to buy. LCEF will offer and sell its securities only in states where authorized. The offer is made solely by LCEF's Offering Circular. Investors should carefully read the Offering Circular, which more fully describes associated risks.
