Health Savings Account (HSA)
Many employers, including Concordia Plan Services, offer an HDHP as a health-care coverage option. An HSA allows you to use funds invested to pay for qualified medical expenses. Contributions are tax-deductible, earnings grow tax-free, and redemptions are tax-free for qualified medical expenses. The LCEF option, called the HSA FlexPlus Certificate, earns interest in addition to being easily accessible.
The main difference between this type of account and other medical savings accounts is that the funds carry over year to year with no "use it or lose it" requirement. Health Savings Account Brochure

Not all HDHPs are compatible with LCEF's health savings account, so please check with your employer or health insurance provider. (Not available in South Carolina.)
