LCEF facilitates faith and the reaching out to others with the Good News through investments, loans and services that help build, transform and keep vital our church.
Church Extension has been an important part of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) for well over 100 years. In some districts, Church Extension has been around longer, but the LCMS became directly involved in 1902. The mission of the organization is to support the Church in fulfilling its mission of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ by being a Christ-centered servant partner, ensuring that funds and services are available now and in the future.
The LCEF staff is lead by ministry-minded executives who bring decades of experience in finance, business and church work. There are more than 100 staff members working in St. Louis and nearly 50 employees in 28 member districts. LCEF volunteers across the country also help serve the LCMS and our Lord. The real pride LCEF members, staff and volunteers have in the organization comes from the way individual lives are affected every day.
